Dr. T. V. Govindaraju

Dr. T. V. Govindaraju, Former Principal/Director, K. S. Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, is an academician par excellence. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mysore followed by a master's degree In Machine Design and Ph.D. In Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He began his career as a lecturer with Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering and moved on to R.V. College of Engineering and then to Sir. M.V. Institute of Technology where he rose to the position of Asst. Professor. He was called to Kigali Institute of Science & Technology, Rwanda, East Africa, in the year 1999 through EdCil, Govt. of India, where he served as Head, Department of Electro-Mechanical and Mechanical Engineering, for seven years and exposure enhanced his capabilities in the area of Education Management, Educational Project Development, Research Programming, Training & Curriculum Development. Administration of Engineering Education. On his return from East Africa in 2005, he served as Principal of Alpha College of Engineering for one year and then moved as Principal, Shirdi Sai Engineering College, Bengaluru, where he served for 7 years with distinction. Dr. Govindaraju has presented research papers at national and international conferences and guided Ph D scholars.

Dr. T V Govindaraju has served as Executive Council Member of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, for a term. He served as Board of Governors of National Design and Research Forum, The Institution of Engineers (India). Dr. T V Govindaraju visited Russia in 2015 as a Member of the Indo-Russian Techno vision Delegation to promote bilateral collaboration with Russian universities and technological Institutions. He has received the coveted Eminent Engineer National Award by the Institution of Engineers (India) in recognition of his distinguished contributions in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He is dedicating his service to the IE(I) activities to enhance the quality of technical education in innovation and research.
